Year 1 - Marvelous Margate

On Friday, Year 1 went to the beach at Margate. We loved being on the beach and smelling the stinky sea weed! We learnt lots about the beach and collected shells and pebbles to bring back to school. It was funny when we were eating our lunch because the sea gulls were hungry and kept trying to eat it. After lunch time, we played on the sand and went in groups to the sea. It was cold in the sea but we still had fun. Jumping over the waves was really funny. Then we bought ice creams and enjoyed listening to the waves. On the journey home, we were all so tired and most of us fell asleep on the coach!

What was your favourite thing about our Margate trip?

Year 1 - National Theatre - Sea Serpent's Daughter

This term, Year 1 thoroughly enjoyed performing at the National Theatre. We were delighted to see our wonderful artwork on display in the backdrop of the production and wear our hand made outfits! We are really grateful to the parents who helped us to make this such a worthwhile experience.

When we arrived at the National Theatre, we put on our outfits that we had made in class. This was so exciting. We then performed some of our lines and dances on the stage to some of the parents and in front of another school. We met Tim and Ted, the story tellers and they were really funny!

What was your favourite part of the school trip and why?
